The air gap between the electrodes varies from 1mm to 2.5mm according to different materials, but the gap between the electrodes must be constant. We recommend setting the pitch to 1.5mm. However, if the material is quite thick or the part to be spliced or thick at the tail is thicker, the spacing can be increased appropriately.
The minimum pitch is 1mm. If the distance between the store and the ground roller is small, pay attention to cooling the electrode and ensure that its temperature does not exceed the safe operating temperature.
Please refer to the machine manual for the procedure of correcting the gap. If you need an instrument to measure the electrode gap, please contact us and we will provide you with a meter for free.
With proper cooling and processing, ceramic electrodes can be used continuously for two years. The key to extending its life is cooling. Overheating is the primary cause of electrode failure after physical damage. As long as ceramics are completely used as the dielectric material of the electrodes, the electrodes can provide stable performance day after day and year after year. Ceramics provide a dielectric or buffering effect to prevent arcing directly to ground.
If the ceramic is broken or small holes appear, the electrode cannot be repaired. If the high-voltage wire or fixing sleeve is broken but the ceramic tube is intact, the electrode can be repaired.
The biggest problem with the corona processing system is machine failure. Power problems are the root cause of machine failure. Dust, humidity buildup, and film residues cause a comprehensive destructive effect and cause high voltage failures. Heat-dissipating components are blocked, and electrode insulators and accumulations on high-voltage components are potential problems that can cause failure. The best way to ensure reliability is to keep these places clean.
